Ion beam filaments were used in conjunction with electron beam type electron beam filaments

and were classified into ion and electron beam filaments and are used

to improve hardness and illumination of deposition materials.

In particular, the electron beam filament is a tungsten filament used for vacuum deposition

in an electron beam manner, and is also used for surface treatment of various optical products such as

infrared filters and camera lenses, formation of plasma displays,

and coating of film capacitors.
